East Crete
Lassithi, the most eastern region of Crete, is one of the less touristy regions, but one of the best places for a active holiday and relaxation.
However, this side of Crete is famous not only for its coastal locations but also for its rural villages, where time almost stands still. The Lassithi Plateau is one of the most picturesque areas on the island. East Crete is the best place to introduce yourself to local tradition and adapt to the slow rhythem of the island. Here you can also explore glorious beaches, impressive mountainscapes, fertile valleys and steep gorges, and become part of the island’s rich gastronomic culture.

The only true way to discover east Crete is by the backroads. These roads are great for biking. Only then will you see what Crete is really all about.
